Community Games and Community Sports Festival 2014

Let's talk about sports today ~
Well, I'm actually an active person.
I grew up in a family who love to play Badminton.
As kids, my dad used to taught me and my sister how to play Badminton.
Over the weekends, my dad would join his friends at the stadium for some friendly match.
He would bring us along and teach us a thing or two.

Badminton is played by either two opposing players (Singles) or two opposing pairs (Double).
Players strike points by hitting the shuttlecock to the opposite side, and if the shuttlecock hits the floor, opposite team wins.
It's a simple and yet challenging sports for all ages !
The game requires only 2 rackets and a shuttlecock.

Well, playing badminton only doesn't keeps you healthy ~
To stay healthy, there's lots of work to be done !

The following are what I usually do to stay healthy.

1) Eat on regular basis. (As for me, I've high metabolism rate, I've to intake more calories than others to stay healthy.)

2) Eat fruits and vegetables !

3) I gym 4 days a week and rest 3 days. ( Resting will let your muscle relax, you wouldn't want it to be overworked )

4) Avoid too much junk food and soft drinks. ( I know, those are like the best food and drinks we can ever imagine ! I'm not asking you to kill the habit away, but cut down on it ? )

5) Drink 8 glasses of water daily.

6) 8 hours of sleep is very important !

Alright, now ~
Let's talk about this upcoming event !

COMMUNITY GAMES 2014 !!

The Community Games(CG) is a multi-sports competition held across the island, bringing the Games to the heart of the community and connecting residents of different ages, races and living across estates.

It is aimed to develop a strong and inclusive sporting culture with passion and enthusiasm from all walks of life; and enhance social cohesion and community bonding, linking people through mass participation and involvement.

To help achieve the objectives of CG, the “All C.A.R.E. Teams” concept is introduced, with an aim to use community sports as a Channel to bridge and bond residents of different Ages, Races and Estates.  In general, a team must consist of members of different ages, races and living in different estates to participate in the Games.  The teams will compete at the cluster-level1 tournaments for each sport featured under CG.
